Prague, January 2013 Record year 2012: AVIA sold 1003 vehicles in 2012 After success in 2010-2011 Avia fared very well last year. Sales reached 1,003 vehicles, which when compared to 2011 (600 units), was a growth of 67%. Total revenue grew by 56% to CZK 665 million compared to 2011 (CZK 425 million). The growth of sales was driven by consolidating our position in markets of Central and Eastern Europe, including Russia and stabilized Cab-Chassis kit supplies to electric vehicle manufacturer Smith Electric in the United States. As of 1 May 2012, Tomáš Jiřička is appointed COO of Avia Ashok Leyland Motors s.r.o. Prague, May 2012 Prague - As of 1 May 2012, Tomáš Jiřička is appointed the COO of Avia Ashok Leyland Motors s.r.o. (AALM). Mr Jiřička had worked as AALM’s CFO before. Until his withdrawal in September 2011, Marcus Pauels was the COO and the position had not been occupied since then. Tomáš Jiřička (40) graduated from the University of Economics in Prague and before joining the Avia truck manufacturer in Letňany he held several positions in the automotive industry. A record quarter for Avia trucks
A record quarter for Avia trucks Prague, April 2012 Prague – In the first quarter of 2012, AALM sold 289 trucks, an increase of 72% over the previous year (168 trucks). Compared to the same period of 2010, when 110 trucks left the gates of the Letňany plant, sales have almost tripled! Approximately 90% of the trucks sold were exported.
